Grades under the CR/D/F option will be entered as CR (passing and satisfactory), 2.3/D (passing but not satisfactory), or 1.9/F (failing). Please note that CR/D/F is not a "Pass/Fail" option; the CR/D/F grading option allows the instructor to award a grade of 2.3 (passing but not satisfactory) if the student's performance does not warrant a grade of "CR".

A student may request rescheduling of an examination only if:

1. the student has two examinations in one day; or
2. the student has three examinations in three consecutive days; or
3. the student has two examinations in two contiguous examinations periods (e.g., Monday afternoon followed by Tuesday morning).

Rescheduled examinations will be limited to the examination make-up days. The Dean maintains discretion regarding which examination will be rescheduled and which make-up day will be assigned. To protect the anonymity of the grading process, students should not discuss examination rescheduling issues with course instructors.

G&IP students will automatically be granted extra time on all in-class exams, unless otherwise determined ineligible by the G&IP Office. An email notification will be sent to students found ineligible for extra time. Your eligibility or ineligibility will also apply to the spring semester exams.

The G&IP Office will use the following guidelines to determine student eligibility:

1. Student must not be a native English speaker AND;
2. Must not have studied at an English-speaking university for 2 academic years or more AND;
3. Must not have lived in the United States for 5 years or more.

**Foreign language dictionaries will be provided for closed-book exams to students who qualify for extra time. For open-book exams students may bring their own non-electronic dictionaries.**
