Summer Law & English

The University of Southern California Law School invites you to participate in its 4 week summer program, the "Summer Law & English" Program. The dates of the 2008 program will be July 14, 2008 - August 8, 2008. Our program is a unique course designed for international lawyers, corporate legal counsel, business professionals, government officials, and law students who would like to learn about the American legal system while improving their English ability. Our summer law program is primarily designed for students who have earned their first law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) outside the United States and whose native language is not English. Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start date of the program to enroll.

At USC Gould School of Law, Summer Law & English Program participants will receive essential information about the fundamental areas of law as they are practiced in the United States. The Summer Law & English Program curriculum also incorporates training in legal English by USC's Rossier School of Education Language Academy. These courses are customized to complement the law curriculum, including legal vocabulary, presentation and negotiation skills.
